FIASI Announces 2016 Hall of Fame Inductees

The Fixed Income Analysts Society (FIASI) is pleased to announce the upcoming induction of Edward C. "Ned" Johnson 3rd and Howard Marks into the FIASI Hall of Fame.

 Mr. Johnson and Mr. Marks will become the 46th and 47th Hall of Fame inductees, whose members include industry leaders, legendary investors, esteemed analysts, prominent academics and two Nobel laureates, among others.  Mr. Johnson and Mr. Marks will be honored at a gala dinner to be held on April 21st at the Roosevelt Hotel in New York City.  Accepting the honor on behalf of Mr. Johnson is Mr. Charlie Morrison, Fidelity’s President of Asset Management.

Mr. Johnson, Chairman of FMR LLC, Fidelity Investments' parent company is being honored for his significant achievements at Fidelity as well as for his contribution to the global financial markets. Ned has been a pioneer in making financial expertise broadly accessible and effective.  “He not only has a proven track record of product and service innovation, but he also has a laser-focus on always putting the customer first,” said Henry Shilling, President of FIASI.

Mr. Marks, founder and Co-Chairman of Oaktree Capital Management, is being honored for his noteworthy contributions to fixed income investing.  These, according to Henry Shilling, “are embodied in Howard’s career emphasis on long-term investing, reliance on research and analysis, judgment and experience as well as risk control, combined with a strong sense of discipline and integrity.”
